# Lab PDFs in, structured biomarkers out

Source: https://www.longevityehr.com/ai-lab-extraction

Upload a lab report and LongevityEHR reads every value, matches it to your clinic's biomarkers and flags anything uncertain. Your team reviews, then releases it to the patient.

## Every report lands in one queue

Any lab, any layout

A longevity panel can carry eighty values or more, from a dozen different lab layouts. LongevityEHR reads each report into one queue for your team to review.

Typing them by hand is slow, and every keystroke is a chance to put the wrong number in a chart patients will follow for years.

### LongevityEHR review queue

Values matched to your biomarkers

## From upload to release in three steps

Every value is reviewable before it is treated as final.

### Upload the report

Drop a lab PDF or a photo of the report into the patient's chart. Any lab, any layout.

### Review the draft

Extracted values land in a review table, matched to your biomarkers, with the original report beside them so you can check any line.

### Release to the patient

When the values are right, release them. They join the patient's [biomarker trends](https://www.longevityehr.com/biomarker-tracking) and show up in their [patient portal](https://www.longevityehr.com/white-label-patient-portal).

## Flags before anything reaches the chart

Extraction is built to save time, not replace clinical judgment. The values most likely to be wrong are flagged for you.

### Low confidence gets a second look

Values the extraction is less sure of are highlighted, so someone checks them against the report before release.

### Unit mismatches block release

A unit that doesn't match the biomarker's unit blocks release until someone confirms it. Units are flagged, never silently converted.

### Duplicates caught early

Duplicate values are caught before they double-count in a patient's trend.

### The printed name stays visible

The name printed on the report stays next to the biomarker it was matched to, so every match is easy to check.

## Matched to how your clinic reads results

Your biomarkers, your ranges

Values are matched to the biomarkers your clinic tracks and graded against the ranges your clinic set, not a generic lab reference. Once released, each value becomes another point on the patient's [biomarker trends](https://www.longevityehr.com/biomarker-tracking), ready to inform the next change to their [care plan](https://www.longevityehr.com/care-plans).

- A value that matches none of your biomarkers stays on its lab report, visibly unclassified.
- A value released with a confirmed unit mismatch stays unclassified rather than graded against the wrong unit.

## Built for a longevity workflow

### A queue for your providers

Pending results wait in one queue for your providers, and released ones stay one filter away.

### Manual entry as a fallback

When extraction can't run on a report, the report is still stored and goes to manual entry instead of failing the upload.

### Trends after release

Released values join each patient's biomarker trends, graded against the ranges your clinic set.

### Never used for training

Your patients' data is not used to train AI models.

### Ten PDFs in the trial

The 15-day trial includes AI extraction on up to 10 lab PDFs, and Core and Scale plans have no PDF limit.

## Frequently asked questions

### How accurate is the AI lab extraction?

It's built to save time, not to replace clinical judgment. Every extracted value is reviewable before it's treated as final, and low-confidence values, unit mismatches and duplicates are flagged for your team.

### Which lab reports does it read?

Lab result PDFs and images of printed reports. It isn't tied to one lab's format, so results from different labs, and results patients bring from elsewhere, go through the same flow.

### Does the patient see extracted values before a provider reviews them?

No. The patient can see the uploaded report, but the extracted values and their ranges reach the portal only after your team releases the result.

### Is lab extraction included in the free trial?

Yes. The 15-day trial includes AI extraction on up to 10 lab PDFs. Core and Scale plans have no PDF limit. See [pricing](https://www.longevityehr.com/pricing).

### Can we order labs from LongevityEHR?

Not yet. [Lab ordering](https://www.longevityehr.com/lab-ordering) is in development. Today you upload results from any lab and LongevityEHR extracts them.
