# Wearable data integration for clinics, next to the labs

Source: https://www.longevityehr.com/wearables

Wearable data is on the roadmap. The goal: sleep, activity and heart data from a patient's own device, shown beside their biomarker trends so the provider reads both in one chart.

## Wearables cover the weeks between lab draws

Why it matters

A blood draw shows where a patient stands on the day of the draw. A ring or watch can record how they slept and moved on the days in between. Today that data usually stays on the patient's phone, outside the record the provider works in.

Wearable data integration for clinics is how LongevityEHR plans to bring it into the chart, next to the results and the plan it relates to. It is on the roadmap and not available today. Our current build focus is [e-prescribing](https://www.longevityehr.com/e-prescribing) and [lab ordering](https://www.longevityehr.com/lab-ordering).

## Wearable health data for doctors, not only for patients

For the provider

Consumer apps show patients their own numbers. The plan for LongevityEHR is to show the provider the same signal in clinical context, as wearable health data for doctors to read alongside everything else in the chart.

Planned support covers devices such as Oura rings and Apple Watch. The goal is to show Oura and Apple Watch data in the EHR next to lab results. The final device list is not set, and we'll publish it when it is.

## How wearable data is planned to work

The plan

What the provider would see, where it would sit, and what it would never be mistaken for.

### Sleep, activity and heart

The plan: sleep, activity and heart data from the patient's own device, shown as trends in the patient's chart.

### On the lab timeline

Device trends are planned to sit on the same timeline as the patient's [biomarker trends](https://www.longevityehr.com/biomarker-tracking).

### Apart from lab values

Device data is planned to sit apart from lab results, so it is not confused with a lab value.

### Read by the provider

The plan is to show device data as trends for the provider to read, not to interpret it for them.

### What gets built first

E-prescribing and lab ordering are being built first, so wearable data has no date yet.

## Where wearable data will fit

Three moments in the longevity loop where device data is meant to help the provider read the chart.

### Between draws

The goal: see how a patient slept and moved in the months between two lab panels, without asking them to remember.

### Plan follow-through

Sleep and activity steps in a [care plan](https://www.longevityehr.com/care-plans) are meant to be read against what the device recorded.

### Shared by the patient

The plan is for the patient to choose what to share from your [branded patient portal](https://www.longevityehr.com/white-label-patient-portal).

## What you can run in LongevityEHR now

Live today

Wearable data will build on the lab and plan tracking that is already in production.

### AI lab extraction

Lab PDFs and photos become reviewable biomarker values, with a provider review step.

### Biomarkers with your ranges

Your clinic's own ranges per sex, with biomarkers grouped by health domain and followed as trends.

### Care plans

Plans built from your templates and personalized per patient.

### Your branded portal

A patient portal with your logo and colors.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does LongevityEHR integrate with wearables today?

No. Wearable data is on the roadmap and not available today. Today LongevityEHR tracks lab biomarkers against your clinic's own ranges.

### Which wearables will LongevityEHR support?

The device list is not final. Planned support covers devices such as Oura rings and Apple Watch, and we'll publish the list when it is set.

### What wearable data will providers see?

The plan is sleep, activity and heart data, shown as trends beside the patient's lab biomarkers.

### Will LongevityEHR interpret wearable data for me?

No. The plan is to show device data as trends for the provider to read. Providers decide what any result or trend means for their patient.

### When will wearable data be available?

There is no date yet. [E-prescribing](https://www.longevityehr.com/e-prescribing) and [lab ordering](https://www.longevityehr.com/lab-ordering) are being built first. Book a demo to hear the current plan.
