Lab ordering software built around your biomarkers
Lab ordering is in development. The goal: order the panels your clinic runs from the patient's chart, and have results come back into it, matched to your biomarkers, without anyone uploading a PDF.

Where it hurts today
The order starts in one portal and ends in a PDF
In many practices, a lab order is placed in the lab's own portal and the result comes back as a PDF in an inbox. Someone downloads it, files it under the right patient and gets the values into the chart.
LongevityEHR already handles that last part: AI lab extraction turns a lab PDF or photo into values your team reviews. Lab ordering, one of the next two large features in development alongside e-prescribing, will cover the first half of the loop. We are evaluating how to connect to labs now, so no lab is named on this page.
The planned loop, from order to trend line. Five steps, one chart.
The plan is to order labs from the EHR where you read the last result, and to receive the next one in the same place.
Order from the chart
Pick the panel from the patient's chart instead of a separate lab portal.
ExampleThe planned order screen lists the panel's biomarkers grouped by health domain.
Result returns to the chart
The result is planned to come back into the same patient's chart, without a PDF download or upload in between.
Matched to your biomarkers
Values are matched to your clinic's biomarkers and classified against your ranges, as extracted results are today. Classification is rule-based.
ExampleA fasting insulin value lands on your clinic's fasting insulin biomarker, classified against the range you set for it.
Reviewed and released
Values reach the patient only after a provider reviews and releases them, the same step your team uses now.
Another point on the trend
Each result becomes another point on the patient's biomarker trends, in the same chart as the patient's care plan.
Longevity lab panels
Longevity lab panels, followed over years
Longevity care runs on repeat testing. A panel only means something next to the one before it, so ordering from the chart is meant to make the next draw part of the same record from the moment it is ordered.

What stays the same
The parts of your workflow that won't change
Your ranges
Ranges your clinic defines per biomarker and sex keep classifying every result, wherever it came from.
Your review step
A provider reviews each result and releases it to the patient. Ordering doesn't skip that.
Your interpretation
Classification against your ranges is rule-based. AI never interprets a result, and providers write every word of interpretation.
Ordering is planned as a second way in, next to the upload that already works for results from any lab.
Until it ships
What you can do with lab results today
Order where you do today, from any lab, and run the result through the chart.
Upload the result
Upload the result PDF or a photo of the report to the patient's chart.
Review the values
Review extracted values with low-confidence values, unit mismatches and duplicates flagged.
Release to the patient
Release results to the patient's branded portal when they are right.

Can I order labs from LongevityEHR today?
Not yet. Lab ordering is in development. Today you order where you already do and upload the result, and AI lab extraction turns it into values your team reviews.
Which labs will LongevityEHR connect to?
That is being decided now, so we don't name labs yet. Book a demo to hear where the evaluation stands.
Will ordered results still need provider review?
Yes. The plan keeps the review and release step used today: extracted values reach the patient portal only after your team releases them.
Will I still be able to upload PDFs from other labs?
Yes. Upload is live today and works with results from any lab, including results patients bring from elsewhere. Lab ordering is planned as a second way in, alongside upload.
Does LongevityEHR interpret lab results with AI?
No. AI reads the values off the report. Classification against your clinic's ranges is rule-based, and providers write every word of interpretation.
